Recent Remarks

Thanks for the email and the "I Survived" video clip!  I shared it with some 'oldies' too, the over 50 crowd  True.  I told my kids we did indeed throw rocks and clean cars and watching early morning cartoons, the latest Tom and Jerry, on our black and white TV!  True life was a little more simple and less violent.  We really enjoyed the church service you gave at the Village Church in Lonehill Gauteng, South Africa.  Eric Schmidt, the guy who traded seats on the flight from Johannesburg to Dakar...God has a way to get His people together!

This past spring our church hosted a youth chorale for mid-Florida and that was my first exposure to God Rods.  Wow!  I was spellbound and very moved!  It occurred to me that his was this was something anyone could do.  It seems to me that an awful lot of us think that movement, beautiful movement, only belongs to the young.  So I approached the ladies in my Bible Study group here at Lake Ashton, an over 55 community, to see if anyone else would be interested in learning "Arise My Love" for the sunrise service.  The good news is that eight of us presented this beautiful piece at the conclusion of a very moving service.  The backdrop was a 400 acre lake, in a garden, and to say the least it was awesome!  It seems that even ladies over 55 can "move" people to appreciate the Glory of God.  I just wanted to thank you and Jeff and those at Salt & Light Ministries for creating and sharing such a joyful and wonderful way to glorify the Kingdom of God.  And for keeping us young in mind, body and spirit!  Lynn Shelton, Lake Ashton, Lake Wales, FL

I was introduced to Salt & Light Ministries in March of this year.  I was so moved by the performance of "Arise My Love" that I knew I had to do this at our church.  I formed my team two weeks ago and had 7 youth participate.  We performed in our Sunday service and man what a message was delivered.  People cried including the pastor!  The church was abuzz after the service as people made their rounds and expressed their feelings about our performance.  I had wanted to purchase shirts from your website but was unable to afford them.  I had a member of the church approach me and without even knowing about the shirts volunteered to purchase them for out team!!  Our God is awesome!  Thank you for your ministry and the opportunity it has presented for our church.  Brenda Herndon, First Baptist Church, Chetopa, KS

Jeff, what an awesome weekend!  You are definitely God-anointed, and our people will be talking for some time about the blessing we received from God through you.  I think it is so important for our people to be exposed to different ways in which God is communicating His message of Good News.  Keep doing what you are doing, for the need for such is only going to grow as we become more visual, interactive, etc. as a culture.  Neil Awbrey, Pastor, Glen Loch Baptist Church, Franklin, GA

My DVDs finally arrived. They had taken a long journey. The ones you so kindly sent missed their ride to Thailand, but someone had the presence of mind to send them in a pouch that came the next week, so last Friday my friend called and said they were here. We were so excited. We had already started practicing "Arise, My Love" based on an old tape I had of a group performing. We were so excited to get a real live presentation and just in time as the old tape was on its last leg. Also a friend of mine from Bangkok who works with the seminary students was so excited that when she comes home in March-June, she is going to contact you. (She and I used to teach in Chester and live in Chesterfield Country). She said that would be a great ministry for her students to take to different churches and to use for evangelical programs. So your work is spreading.
We are doing our first performance on March 9, and starting with a second group right after that. We will mail you a picture to add to your collection. Thank you so much. The kids are so excited about having more than one possible piece to perform.  Beth Branyon Grace International School Chiang Mai Thailand.

I just had to write and let you know that your ministry is even reaching soldiers in Iraq.  My daughters have been doing “Arise My Love” with the dowel rods for years.  It is a part of our Easter tradition.  There is a young lady who was a part of that group for a few years and she is now in the army and serving in Iraq.  I just got word from her mom that Katherine taught the movements to 6 other ladies that attend chapel with her.  They performed it using the antennas off their Humvees!  Wow!  I just had to pass that on.  I couldn’t help but weep as I pictured them doing that song.  Thank you for your wonderful ministry!  Sally Simmone

I wanted to thank you for all your resources and the many seminars that I have seen you at.  God has worked through you to get a youth drama team going at our church.  We are a group of 17 young people between the ages of 8-17.  The videos and DVD’s are a wonderful resource for us to utilize in this ministry.  We are having such fun with “The End of the Beginning”…what a fun piece to do and what a powerful message.  I have two young people in this group that have ADHD and one that has Asperser’s syndrome and they are doing wonderful things through this ministry…they would have had a difficult time without the ‘movement for non-movers’.  What a blessing to see their progress.  What an awesome ministry you have and now we do too!
